VIRGIN PRODUCED AND POPSUGAR DEBUT EXCLUSIVE POP CULTURE AND LIFESTYLE PROGRAMMING

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, December 12, 2013 - Virgin Produced, the content development and production arm of Virgin Group, and POPSUGAR Inc., the global lifestyle media property, today announced the launch of a new entertainment program that will be available exclusively on the Virgin Produced Channel. “POPSUGAR on Virgin Produced” will be hosted by POPSUGAR’s popular editors and reporters and features a wide variety of pop culture topics including entertainment, food, style, and lifestyle, as well as top celebrities, stylists, designers, chefs, and fitness experts.

“We are thrilled to team with POPSUGAR and look forward to sharing such topical pop-culture content with our viewers,” said Justin Berfield, chief content officer at Virgin. “POPSUGAR is an incredible addition to our family of specialized content partners and truly complement our existing programming.”

“If POPSUGAR were an airline, it would be a lot like Virgin — stylish, on-trend, service-oriented, and playful — so the opportunity to create a show exclusively for Virgin Produced Channel viewers is very exciting for us,” said David Grant, president of POPSUGAR Studios. “Our goal is to make our video content available to viewers wherever they are, and now they can even catch the best of POPSUGAR in the air.”

“POPSUGAR’s video unit has been one of our fastest growing areas, with over 275 original episodes viewed over 50 million times per month online. This partnership with Virgin represents the first step towards making the POPSUGAR video content accessible on multiple platforms,” added Jen Wong, EVP of strategy, operations, and business development of POPSUGAR.

“POPSUGAR on Virgin Produced” will be available on the Virgin Produced Channel on all Virgin America flights by Dec. 15 and on Virgin Australia flights by early February.
