FUEL TV TO EXCLUSIVELY SCREEN FIGHTING FEAR SPINOFF SERIES – “THE CREW”

ONE OF THE MOST ANTICIPATED AUSTRALIAN DOCUMENTARIES HITS THE SCREEN NEXT YEAR WHEN FUEL TV PREMIERES THE CREW

BEVERLY HILLS, CA - The 10-part series, filmed during the production of the acclaimed feature documentary - Fighting Fear – will screen on FUEL TV from February to March 2013.

The first Australian production of Virgin Produced, the Virgin Group’s film and television arm, follows the extraordinary journey of three best friends as they each chase their dream around the globe. Chief Creative Officer, Justin Berfield, said, “As a brand that embodies the unconventional and is always up for a challenge, Fighting Fear’s compelling story and high stakes thrills are a perfect fit.”

The unscripted series tells the personal stories of Mark Matthews, Richie Vacuik and Macario De Souza, who battle to overcome troubled youths to become the best in the world of big wave surfing, mixed martial arts and music.

As one of the most celebrated big wave surfers of all time, Mark Mathews follows the surf in search of the ultimate ride.

Richie Vacuik is aiming to make his mark on one of the fastest growing sports in the world and secure a lucrative UFC contract.

Hailed as one of Australia’s biggest hip hop artists, Kid Mac is out to crack the international music scene.

Helping them along the way is world surfing champion Kelly Slater, Red Hot Chili Peppers front-man Anthony Keidis, and musician Snoop Dogg who make guest appearances throughout the series.

The 10 episodes will air each Sunday night at 9.00pm on FUEL TV from Sunday 10 February, 2013.
